FAQ

WHY SHOULD I HAVE A RUNNING COACH?

"Imagine being a kite that is allowed to fly higher and higher but is always safely held by trustworthy hands at the other end of its string" -A. Pappas

Having a coach allows you to not have to question yourself while working on your goals. As coaches, we will learn about your big scary goals and your small goals, your routine, likes and dislikes, know when to hold you accountable, when to push you harder, and when to ease off and evaluate.

HOW DOES TRAINING DIFFER FROM BEGINNERS TO EXPERTS?

Our individualized plans are meant to meet you where you're at. No two running journeys are the same, so we don't believe in copy/paste plans. After having an intro call, we will determine the best way to start building an aerobic base, which may include walking, run/walking, cross-training, or different types of quality workouts depending on your goals and current level of fitness.

WHAT IF SOMETHING COMES UP AND I CAN'T COMPLETE MY WEEKLY TRAINING THE WAY IT WAS SCHEDULED FOR ME?

If something derails you from completing your week of training, congratulations - you are human! We encourage you to notify us of any changes that may need to be made as soon as you are able to so that we can pivot and alter your training plan in a productive way that will maintain your level of fitness while avoiding exhaustion/burnout.

DO I NEED TO HAVE A RACE SCHEDULED OR RACE GOAL IN MIND TO GET A COACH?

Absolutely not! Running is not all about the race and much of what goes into an effective training plan is building a solid aerobic base and strength, gaining confidence and resilience, and injury prevention - which is beneficial at any time and at any age.
